Magnus Hovercraft Adventures is the adventure recreation Unit of Magnus Exports Pvt. Limited incorporated in J&K since 2006, and is specially set up with all resources to conduct Hovercraft related adventure sports. One of our core interest so far has been with state of the art Recreational Vehicles identified and sourced from the adventure sports markets of the world. Some of these speciality vehicles including the ATV (all terrain vehicles) have been successfully imported and integrated by the Company into various tourist ventures, a recent one being at Manali, (HP). The company has also been successful in setting up, managing and operating a very tourist popular Go- Kart Track Arena at Jammu, by introducing eco-friendly non emitting electric racing vehicles, the first in India.
Similarly, in view of its great tourist potential, the Company is ready to take adventure tourism in the State to a new level, by undertaking newer water adventure and recreational projects such as Hovercraft based river cruises and fun rides.
Jammu & Kashmir is a natural tourist destination with a number of water bodies such as lakes, water reservoirs, rivers, whitewater streams, wetlands, and snow fields as well as frozen ice lakes. This natural terrain is ideal for all hovercraft operations and would draw tourists as it affords them an exhilarating all terrain ans water water cruising experience which is at par with flying on a cushion of pressurized air over land,water and ice. Its versatility in operation and capabilities to access inaccessible waters and terrain make it the ideal all terrain craft. Today, it is one of the most exclusive tourist friendly water trekking options available in the developed world. This adventure has showcased Jammu & Kashmir as one of the few Hovercraft destinations of the World.
A Hovercraft is basically a ‘ground effect vehicle’ or an ‘air cushion vehicle’ that is capable of flying 9 inches or more over any surface it travels. Hovercraft is non polluting, and more maneuverable than boats. Hovercraft Cruise tourism is a new popular leisure activity generating employment, local growth, and earning foreign exchange. As such the State stands to gain substantially by promoting cruise tourism.
Hovercraft cruise has the potential of exploring, identifying and charting an all terrain/lake or river cruise that can pass through and create inroads through never before visualised areas in the State. |
