A Hovercraft is basically a ‘ground effect vehicle’ or an ‘air cushion vehicle’ that is capable of flying 9 inches or more over any surface it travels.
By its construction and features, the Hovercraft is classified as a boat. When not flying over water on a cushion of air, it can float safely as any conventional boat.
In the floating mode, it is safer and more buoyant than the boat because of its flat underside, and excellent trim and balance

The Hovercraft is not effected by water current. It can go upstream as easily as downstream.
Hovercraft is eco-friendly, and does not damage ecosystems as it flies on a cushion of air and does not cleave the water surface thus does not create the ‘wave effect’ that is dangerous for other boats as well as damaging the banks.
